'Dark Stars' is an exciting new solo play written and directed by Arthur Meek and starring American actor Jonathan Council.  Council portrays a version of his own life as an unlucky African-American actor, who in seeking his big break is propelled by misfortune to Waiheke island where he unearths the forgotten story of Australasia's most popular performer of the 19th century, Irving Sayles.  Dark Stars is a story of two men whose lives are separated by a century but who are both faced with the same dilemma... is fame worth the price of your dignity?
