New classrooms for the new year
However, during the summer holidays, principal Rhys McKinley says says “substitute classrooms were put in place at the school.
“We’ve had relocatable classrooms arrive, which should be all ready to go by the time school starts on January 31st.
“The ministry demolished the unsafe buildings over the summer holidays, so we are only just starting the planning process of how to rebuild something that’s more earthquake proof, and we have many more meetings planned to discus what should be done.”
The regular Saturday morning market in the school ground has not been affected and will continue to use the space.
