Party like it's 1986
Remember when being openly gay could mean doing time in prison? Neither does Andy Boreham, but that’s not stopping him from channelling the underground subversive spirits to put on Homolicious 1986.
“It’s an underground themed party in set in pre-Homosexual Law Reform time,” says Boreham. “We hope people will dress up. The music will be 80s and the theme is the cusp of change. We’re sort of feeling that now with marriage equality.”
DJ Danny Noir will be spinning Boy George, New Order, and other blasts from the past, while VJ Rayzordoll will be projecting protest and music-themed 80s videos.
“We really hope that people who were around and partying back them will come and make it more authentic,” says Boreham.
Dig out your neon and dance all night!
