What Would The Neighbours Think?

InsideOut Dance Company
'What Would The Neighbours Think?' is a site specific dance work that explores the ways in which we mask our emotions and who we really are, as well as why we do this - why do we not want people to really 'see' us? This work takes inspiration from academic texts such as Ovid's 'Art of Love', as well as classic movies such as 'Pretty Woman' and 'My Fair Lady'. These mediums discuss social norms, and what is acceptable and unacceptable in the public eye. These themes are distorted from the texts through dance, creating exaggerated examples of contrasted realities, which are skillfully illustrated through the creativity, athleticism and comedy of the performers.
