Fans run off with pieces of Bones

Michael Landy gets a piece of The Lovely Bones.

A band set list is to a music-lover what a street sign is to a movie buff.
An Irish architect was spotted walking down Kent Terrace with a large street sign from The Lovely Bones New Zealand premiere this week.
Michael Landy, 22, and many other red carpet revellers ripped the signs down once Peter Jackson entered the Embassy Theatre, after an excruciatingly long walk down the red carpet that was repeatedly interupted by photographers and journalists.
“I’m going to put it straight up on my wall,” says Landy, who gives Alice Sebold’s book the thumbs up.
Highlights of the red carpet parade were Susan Sarandon who walked barefoot amongst a bunch of overdressed non-celebrities and waved at adoring fans; the loved, flab-shedding and smiling Peter Jackson, and the two girls dressed in shorts carrying a skateboard who said: “yeah, that’s right, we got in,” resulting in an eruption of applause.
Très Bon(e).

WOULD you purchase a house with a carport on encroached land if you knew this meant paying an annual fee based on the land value?
